Printing on the Bambu A1 Mini Printers

1. Start the BambuStudio app on the PC

  1. Open the BambuStudio App:
    • Double click on the BambuStudio icon on the right side of the desktop.
    • Browse for projects on the home page or create your own.
    • Alternatively, you can drag and drop the STL file directly into the BambuStudio workspace.

2. Load or Upload an STL File

  1. Open an STL File:
    • Click on the File menu.
    • Select Open and navigate to the location of your STL file.
    • Alternatively, you can drag and drop the STL file directly into the BambuStudio workspace.
  2. Explore the BambuStudio Interface:
    • Once the STL file is loaded, you’ll see the 3D model in the workspace.
    • Use the toolbar on the left to manipulate the view (rotate, zoom, pan).
    • The right panel will show various options for slicing and printing settings.

3. Prepare the STL File for Printing

  1. Adjust Model Settings:
    • Use the tools in the left toolbar to move, rotate, or scale the model if necessary.
    • Ensure the model is properly oriented and positioned on the print bed.
  2. Select Print Settings:
    • Go to the Print Settings panel on the right.
    • Choose the appropriate material and print quality settings.
    • Adjust other settings like infill density, supports, and layer height as needed.
  3. Preview the Print:
    • Click on the Preview button to see a simulation of the print process.
    • Review the layers and make sure everything looks correct.

4. Slice and Send to Printer

  1. Slice the Model:
    • Once satisfied with the settings, click on the Slice button.
    • This will generate the G-code file that the printer uses to create the model.
  2. Send the File to the Printer:
    • After slicing, click Send to Printer.
    • Ensure your printer is turned on and connected.
    • Select the correct A1 Mini
    • Follow the prompts to start the print.

5. Monitor the Print

  1. Monitor Progress:
    • Use the BambuStudio interface to monitor the progress of your print.
    • You can see the current status, estimated time remaining, and other details.
  2. Post-Processing:
    • Once the print is finished, carefully remove the model from the print bed.
    • Perform any necessary post-processing, such as removing supports or sanding.
